CONGRATULATIONS Brides of 2026! You’re engaged – now what?
Planning a wedding gets a bad rap sometimes. What’s supposed to be a wonderful and magical moment for you and your fiancé can quickly become a stressful endeavor.
What colors do I want? Where do I want to get married? When? Church or Courthouse? Garden or beachfront? Who do we invite? … HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO HAVE A WEDDING IN MIAMI?!
Good news is, it all works out as it should in the end –I promise.
Key questions you need to ask before you start anything is:
#1 How many people/who NEEDs to be there
#2 How many people/who do we WANT to be there
Once you get an idea of your numbers - you can start planning.
Step 1: Get quotes from venues that can hold the number of people you are looking for. Venue’s often charge a venue fee & a per person fee for meals if catering is included. Watch out for administrative fees and add-ons that are really necessary but they sneak by as “optional”.
After getting rough estimates for venues & their packages – really review it with your fiancé.
“Do we still want a full wedding? Do we need to cut costs? How many people can we really afford to invite?”
Regardless if you are planning a affordable wedding or a luxury wedding, the venue & catering by far will be the most important aspect of the wedding planning process and can be a key contributor to last minute hidden costs racking up.
Quick tip: More decorative and ornate venues could mean less spending on florals & decor to dress it up in the end!
